BEAUMONT, Texas — Former Beaumont Independent School District Superintendent Dr. John Frossard died in June of this year, according to the school district.
Dr. Frossard served as the district's superintendent for four years, according to BISD Superintendent Dr. Shannon Allen.
"He was not only a dedicated leader, but also a remarkable mentor who provided me with my first opportunity as Assistant Superintendent," said Dr. Allen in a statement. "Dr. Frossard had an unwavering passion for working with struggling students, always striving to ensure they reached their full potential. His commitment to education and to the success of every student was truly inspiring."
Dr. Allen says his legacy will continue to impact BISD and the lives of countless students and educators.
"I am thankful for the time I experienced under his leadership," she said.
Dr. Frossard began his final position as BISD superintendent in 2015 and retired in the spring of 2019. Dr. Frossard and his family moved to Augusta County, Virginia, where he spent the remainder of his years in retirement, according to his obituary.

John is survived by his children, grandchildren, many family members and will be lovingly remembered and missed by both of his wives, Cathy Benner and Nancy Frossard, according to his obituary.
