BEAUMONT, Texas — A man accused of tampering with evidence in the shooting death of Beaumont father Anthony Wilson has been taken back into custody on federal charges after being released on bond Monday.

Bernard Bell, 26, has been taken back into custody on federal charges after he was released on bond on Monday, Beaumont Police Chief James Singletary told 12News by phone.
Bell has been charged with a federal charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm accroding to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Bell, who is a convicted felon, is prohibited from owning or possessing firearms or ammunition the release said.
If convicted on the federal charge he faces up to 10 years in federal prison.
Detectives say the gun used to kill Wilson, a .45 caliber handgun, was stolen from a home two weeks ago in the Dowlen West neighborhood where Wilson was killed.
Bell is a convicted felon and is the brother of one of the previously arrested suspects in the shooting death of Anthony Wilson according to police.
A 15-year-old male was arrested as a suspect in the shooting, along with a 17-year-old and 18-year-old.
Jamirious Jantrel Gardner, 17, and John James Cook, 18, were arrested and charged with murder after hours of interviews, and the identity of the 15-year-old will not be released since he is a juvenile according to a release.
Gardner and Cook are each held on a $1 million bond according to jail records.
