BEAUMONT, Texas — The community has the chance to donate to help the family of a 37-year-old Beaumont man shot and killed on Thursday night.
Police, who responded to the shooting at about 10:12 p.m., believe that Wilson confronted auto burglary suspects and was then fatally shot.

Community members can donate through Common Cents Credit Union, where an account is set up for the family of Anthony Wilson. Gifts can be made by going in to one of the Beaumont locations or by calling (409)-842-5233.
Those who wish to give by phone can have a receipt mailed to them from the credit union.
A PayPal account has also been set up and is linked to the Wilson family's account. Those giving through PayPal can do so with the email address 'tcornell@commoncentscu.com.'

The community is also invited to a balloon release and vigil to be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Rogers Park at 1455 Dowlen Road in Beaumont. Those attending are asked to wear blue, Wilson's favorite color, and to bring blue and white balloons.
