PORT ARTHUR, Texas — A Port Arthur family gathered to celebrate the life of a bicyclist killed earlier this month. Jamica Thibo's family is still waiting on justice as police continue to look for the person responsible.
Community members gathered with Thibo's family on Savannah Avenue near the site of the October 9 crash to remember his life and release balloons in honor of his memory. Family says Thibo was riding his bike home when it happened.
His sister Erica Thibo said his death was a huge blow to the family, but the community's support has made it a little easier to deal with.
"It means the world to us. They supported my brother, they supported the situation," Thibo said. "They're supporting the fact that we still haven't gotten any type of justice for him being hit."
Two weeks ago, her brother was riding his bike on Savannah Avenue near Motiva. Police believe Thibo was hit by the driver of a white Dodge pickup seen in surveillance video.
Officers say 32-year-old Charles Lock is a person of interest, but he remains on the run.

"I mean if he's not the guilty party go and tell him that, prove that you're innocent so that we can get some peace," Thibo said. "So with that being said we don't know what to do, who's who, or if it's safe to be rolling around town."
Thibo said Jamica rode his bike home every night.
"We don't understand how that one night was different from the other nights."
If you know where Charles Lock is, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 833-TIPS.
Thibo's funeral will be held on Thursday at 2 at the First Sixth Street Baptist Church in Port Arthur.
