BEAUMONT, Texas — If you're looking for ways to help victims of Hurricane Laura, the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau is connecting with the people of Lake Charles to bring food and recovery kits.
On Wednesday, September 9, they'll be serving hot food and handing out the supplies to some of the hardest hit victims of the category 4 storm.
The group is also collecting supplies for Orange that will be delivered to those who need it there.

Donations will be collected at the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce at 1110 Park St. in Beaumont. You can drop off any time up until Sept. 8.
Here are the items they're asking for:
- Water
- Bug spray
- Gatorade (other electrolyte drinks)
- Sunscreen
- Dry snack foods (chips, granola bars, cookies, goldfish – things that don’t melt)
- Diapers
- Wipes
- Coloring books and crayons (simple activities for kids)
- Baby food
- Personal hygiene products (deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, face wipes, feminine care products)
- Bread
- Jelly
- Peanut Butter
- First Aid Supplies
- Cleaning supplies
- Bleach
- Rags
- Work gloves
- Safety glasses
- Portable Fans
- Flashlights
- Batteries
