Truck filled with donations to help CPS families affected by Hurricane Laura in Orange, Lake Charles

The community dropped of needed items Wednesday in Beaumont

BEAUMONT, Texas — Child Protective Services is thanking the community after a huge turn out to collect donations for families hit the hardest by Hurricane Laura. 

Donations were collected in Beaumont to be delivered to families involved with CPS in Orange and in Lake Charles. 

Shari Pulliam with CPS says the truck was filled to the top with donations. 

Donations were dropped off between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

If you're interested in helping, you can Venmo "Shari-Pulliam" to help provide needed items to those families.  

Here's a list of needed items: 

  • Diapers
  • Wipes
  • Cleaning supplies
  • NEW Infant and Toddler clothing
  • Baby and Toddler Needs
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Washing Detergent
  • Water
  • Snacks
  • Gift cards for groceries
