NEDERLAND, Texas — A dump truck crash in Nederland on Highway 69 is causing a significant delay for drivers throughout the city.
The truck reportedly veered off of the overpass Highway 69, the front of the truck finally coming to a halt while dangling precariously over the ledge.
The driver reportedly had a blow out while driving northbound along the highway between Helena and Nederland Avenue.
The driver fought to maintain control of the truck, but when he realized it was about to go over the edge he jumped out at the last second according to Nederland Fire Chief Terry Morton.

Chief Morton says that no other cars were involved in the crash, and the truck was luckily caught by the edge of the overpass, keeping it from careening over.
Oil could could be seen leaking from the bottom of the truck, but Chief Morton says that his crews were able to get it cleaned up.
Traffic was seen at a standstill both at the intersection under the overpass, as well as the highway itself.
