BEAUMONT, Texas — Funeral services for Kimberly Ann Langwell, a beloved mother who's life was taken on July 9, 1999 in Beaumont, are scheduled to take place on Saturday.

Langwell was born on February 24, 1965, in Houston, Texas. Her life was taken too soon at the age of 34.

In April 2024, police talked to a "reliable informant" who told them that Langwell had been killed inside Terry Rose's Lindbergh Dr. home on July 9, 1999, which is the same day she was last seen, according to a probable cause affidavit in the case. The informant also told police that Langwell had been buried on the property.

Her remains were found on June 13, 2024, 25 years after her disappearance.

Rose, 67, of Beaumont, was indicted in June of 2024 for the murder of Langwell.

A gathering of Langwell's family and friends will begin 10 a.m., with her funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 12 at Broussard's located at 1605 North Major Dr. Her interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake.

"Kim's greatest joy in her life was her daughter, Tiffani. Kim was a hard worker and at times, she worked 3 jobs to be able to provide for herself and her daughter. Kim was a friend to many people and through the years we have met several people that have shared their stories with us about Kim. Stories that have made us smile and cry at the same time. We miss her witty, dry sense of humor that could make your mouth drop and make you laugh at the same time. We also miss her go and get them attitude. Nothing stood in her way. We have truly missed her, she will always be in our thoughts and in our hearts.

Kim is survived by her mother, Betty L. Clark; daughter, Tiffani M. McInnis; sister, Susan Butts and husband, Gregory; grandkids, Kimber Jeanjaquet and Cruz Jeanjaquet; nephews, Norman R. Langwell Jr., Jason Langwell, and Christopher Bell and wife, Stephanie; nieces, Mandy Webb and husband, Matt Webb; Candace Gonzalez and husband, Jose; Kristin Drabant and husband, Alex; and Brittany Minton.

She is preceded in death by her father, Stratton H. Langwell; paternal grandparents, Norman H. Langwell, and Wilma and her husband, Lou Debes; sister, Toni Lynn Cross and her daughters, Stephanie and Rachel; brother, Norman Ray Langwell and his wife, Cynthia; maternal grandparents, Gloria Nicoletti Baker and Leroy Baker; and niece, Rachael Butts.

A gathering of Ms. Langwell's family and friends will begin 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Sour Lake."
