SABINE PASS, Texas — Golden Pass LNG is asking for more time to finish construction on their Sabine Pass facility.
This is the second time the company has filed for an extension. The company says trouble with their lead contractor Zachry Holdings pushed back their completion timeline.
Zachry left the project earlier this year and later filed for bankruptcy. Thousands of workers were laid off.
Golden Pass is asking the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to give the company until November 2026 to complete construction.
