PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Port Arthur firefighters responded to two separate dumpster fires Saturday morning, after battling a multi-story apartment fire.
Around 12:30 a.m. the Port Arthur Fire Department responded to a dumpster fire at the H-E-B on Highway 365 in Port Arthur.
When they arrived firefighters found several pallets and motorized scooters on fire with heavy fire and flames shooting up to the roof of the building on the side of the H-E-B.
The building received some damage, but since the building is made of brick this stopped it from catching fully on fire, according to Chief Benson.
Next door to the H-E-B, firefighters also responded to another dumpster fire at the Pizza Hut.
The causes of the fires are still unknown at this time.
