LIST | Here's where you can get help with school supplies for the 2024 school year

BEAUMONT, Texas — The 2024 - 2025 school year is upon us as parents and students prepare for the new school year.

School clothes and uniforms as well as school supplies are being shopped for all over Southeast Texas as the start of classes approaches.

Different groups around the region are offering help for anyone who could use a hand getting ready for the school year.

Many are offering supplies while some even offer haircuts.

Here's the school supply giveaways that we've heard about so far in Southeast Texas...

Saturday - Aug. 10

• 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Platinum Kutz - 3250 Washington Blvd, Beaumont
    • Back-to-School Extravaganza - Sponsored by the Price Law Firm and Platinum Kutz 
    • Free haircuts
    • Backpacks filled with school supplies
    • Food

Sunday - August 11

• 10:50 a.m. worship, followed by giveaway
  • Mt. Olive Baptist Church - 106 West Park, Orange
    • Back to School Super Service @ 10:50 a.m.
    • Giveaway begins after services (should begin before 1 p.m.)
    • Backpacks & school supplies
