Orange Recreation Center hosting its 'Remember and Honor Dodgeball Tournament'

This tournament is dedicated to celebrating and showing appreciation to local heroes.

ORANGE, Texas — The Orange Recreation Center is hosting its "Remember and Honor Dodgeball Tournament" to show appreciation to local law enforcement, firefighters, military and healthcare workers. 

The tournament will take place on Saturday, September 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1405 W. Orange Avenue.

This event celebrates our "everyday heroes", their sacrifices and dedication by giving them a chance to relax and have a fun day filled with friendly competition and camaraderie. 

Remember and Honor Dodgeball Tournament aims to unit the community in a fun and supportive environment while teams of heroes compete in dodgeball matches. 

Here's a list of the event details: 

  • Date: Saturday, September 14th 
  • Time: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm 
  • Location: Orange Recreation Center, 1405 W. Orange Avenue 
  • Teams: 6 - 10 local heroes per team (to allow for substitutes) 
  • Admission: Free, local heroes are encouraged to assemble a team and register by August 16th by calling 409-883-1072, emailing reccenter@orangetexas.gov, or in person at the Orange Recreation Center.
