Beaumont Police are asking for public's help to locate two acquaintances of homicide victim

These people are not suspects, but may be friends of John Tomlinson that can give detectives valuable information in the case.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police Department's Homicide Unit needs the public's help in finding two unknown people that may be acquaintances of John Tomlinson, the homicide victim who's body was found last weekend.

These people are not suspects, but may be friends of Tomlinson that can give detectives valuable information in the case.

On Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023, Beaumont Police responded to a call about a deceased person in the area of Avenue C and Crockett Street.

When officers arrived, they found a "significantly decomposed" man in a small wooded area, according to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department.
