Beaumont man indicted for July murder of 45-year-old found in driveway

BEAUMONT, Texas — A 27-year-old Beaumont man has been indicted for the murder of Joseph Andrew Frank on July 2, 2019.

Mark Wayne Brantley was indicted Wednesday in connection with the death of Frank after the 45-year-old man was found dead in his driveway in the 2400 block of Primrose.

A probable cause affidavit said Frank's girlfriend told investigators Brantley got a gun from a house on Detroit Street and told her he was going to shoot Frank.

The document said Brantley admitted he shot Frank in a phone call with Frank's girlfriend.

Brantley's bond was previously set at $1 million.
