BEAUMONT, Texas — The City of Beaumont hosted its annual State of the City luncheon where they shared a look at their wins and losses throughout the year.

"It is the 2024 State of the City!" Mayor West proclaimed.
Mayor West had his "head in the game" at this year's State of the City address.
"We have over 600 people coming to the Civic Center. Like any football team, we're winning, and we want to win the season!"
"If you're a leader in this city, you need to be a cheerleader. You need to really pump up this city!" said Keith Robichau, the COO of R&P Employer Solutions.
The Civic Center was a packed house full of hundreds of fans like Robichau.
"Huge turnout, great food!" Robichau said.
Robichau told 12News he's invested in the future growth and success of Beaumont.
"I want to know what the city has to offer for us this year in terms of safety, investment, but also spread the word on the positive things happening in this city," he said.
Some of the plans city leaders presented for the future include further funding for the already successful Real-Time Crime Center.

"We're in the early stages, clearly Beaumont the vision is here. It's time to grasp it and go with it," said Stonehenge Holdings President Kevin Matocha.
The city's plans for the river walk, riverside park and a hotel and convention center give Matocha hope for a brighter Beaumont.
"It has to have indirect impacts throughout downtown that spurs additional growth and continues," Matocha said.
