New surveillance video released in Target attack, robbery investigation

Police: Suspect used stolen credit cards minutes after woman's purse was snatched

BEAUMONT, Texas — Police are hoping new surveillance video of the suspect from last week's attack at a Beaumont Target will help lead to an arrest.

Beaumont Police released the new video from the Champs storm in Parkdale Mall. According to police, it is video of the same man who followed a woman in the parking lot of Target before attacking her and stealing her purse.

Police said the man used the victim's credit cards at mall stores shortly after the robbery.

Earlier this week, Beaumont Police released video and pictures of the Target attack.

You can see a woman leaving the store and walking to her car in the parking lot. A man follows her before attacking her and stealing her purse. The dazed victim chased the man as he ran from the parking lot.

Police say the suspect left that robbery and headed to Parkdale Mall where he used the credit cards from the woman's purse at Champs and a perfume store inside the mall.

Police are now investigating whether this is the first time this suspect has done something like this.

If you know the man in this surveillance video, please call Beaumont police at (409) 832-1234 or Crime Stoppers at (409)-833-TIPS.
