Fire crews are still fighting to put out the blaze inside the historic Gilbert Building.

Some people have been evacuated from buildings nearby.

The fire started inside the Gilbert building here on the corner of Pearl and Bowie Street.

Firefighters have brought in additional units to protect nearby buildings and first responders have closed off the area.
