BEAUMONT, Texas — No one was injured Thursday morning after an SUV overturned after striking and 18-wheeler that left the scene of the wreck.
State troopers and other first responders responded to the scene of a wreck Thursday morning west of Beaumont along Interstate 10 westbound near the 844 mile marker according to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
At about 6:20 a.m. an 18-wheeler was reported to have pulled out of the Love's Truck Stop and into the path of a westbound 2017 Toyota SUV according to the news release.
The SUV, driven by a 72-year-old Beaumont woman, struck the rear of the truck and flipped over the release said.
The 18-wheeler initially pulled to the side of the highway and stopped but then continued west on Interstate 10 according to the release.
Neither the woman or the 83-year-old man riding with her were injured in the wreck.
Troopers are continuing to investigate the wreck and did not release any more information.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are investigating a non-injury crash involving a commercial motor vehicle on Interstate 10, near the 844-mile marker, that occurred this morning, November 3, 2022.
The preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 6:20 a.m., a 2017 Toyota SUV was traveling west. It is reported that a truck tractor semi-trailer pulled from the Love’s parking lot into the path of the SUV. The SUV struck the rear of the trailer and overturned.
The truck tractor initially pulled to the side of the road and stopped but then continued westbound.
The driver of the SUV, identified as a 72-year-old woman from Beaumont and her passenger, an 83-year-old man, were not injured.
This is an ongoing investigation and there is no additional information available at this time.
