NEDERLAND, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation had to make emergency repairs to a pavement on Highway 69 Monday evening.
Crews shut down Highway 69 southbound near Jack Brooks Regional Airport as they made repairs to the pavement.
12News crew on scene saw several stalled vehicles pulled over on the side of the highway after being impacted by the pavement.
The freeway was shut down for an hour and during that time, traffic was being diverted to the service road at the Beauxart Gardens exit.
State troopers and tow trucks responded to help drivers.
