Two people brought to the hospital after a head-on collision in Orange County

The preliminary investigation shows that around 12:20 p.m., a 2007 Honda Civic was traveling east, while a 2012 Honda Accord was traveling west.

ORANGE COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) investigated a crash on State Highway 105, near the 446-mile marker on Monday in Orange County.

The preliminary investigation shows that around 12:20 p.m., a 2007 Honda Civic was traveling east, while a 2012 Honda Accord was traveling west, according to a DPS news release.

The driver of the 2007 Honda was traveling around a curve at an unsafe speed during rainy weather, causing them to lose control and drive into the oncoming lane, where he hit the 2012 Honda head-on.

The driver of the 2007 Honda was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital to be treated for life-threatening-injuries.

The driver of the 2012 Honda was brought to Baptist Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
