Two crashes in Port Arthur involving patrol car, train

Authorities were unable to confirm if there were any victims or the extent of their injuries.

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Authorities are investigating two crashes in Port Arthur. One crash involves a patrol car and the other a train.

Both happened around the same time, approximately 1 a.m. Thursday.
The patrol car accident happened on the 500 block of Houston Avenue and appeared to be minor.

The accident involving the train took place near Sheppard Ave and 39th Street in Port Arthur. One car was hit.

Crews were working early Thursday to remove the car off the train tracks.

Authorities were unable to confirm if there were any victims or the extent of their injuries.
