BEAUMONT, Texas — A woman who lives in a South Park neighborhood says a one-car rollover accident could have been prevented if the driver wasn’t going too fast on her street Tuesday morning.

The accident was reported to police around 7 a.m. near the intersection of Adams and Rothwell Streets in south Beaumont.

The driver lost control of the car and it landed upside down in a ditch. The driver was stuck in the vehicle until a homeowner helped him out. He was taken to the hospital with what are described as minor injuries.

The driver’s name has yet to be released.

A police officer on the scene could not confirm if the driver received a citation.

No other injuries were reported.
