VIDOR, Texas — A single dump truck crash on Interstate 10 eastbound caused a big slow-down Tuesday afternoon.
Orange County Pct. 4 Constable Matt Ortego previously told 12News that exit 862 at Timberlane Drive had been closed and the freeway was down to one lane.
Ortego says it appears the dump truck had a blow out, causing the front of the vehicle to hit the outside barrier of the highway.
The end of the truck with cargo spilled out its contents and flipped after hitting the exit sign support beams, according to Ortego.
The driver was taken to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth to be treated for minor injuries.
As of 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, all lanes are reopen.
