LUMBERTON, Texas — Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are investigating the death of a Lumberton man who was struck by a pickup truck Thursday night.
Terry McDonald, of Lumberton, was pronounced dead at Christus St. Elizabeth hospital in Beaumont after being taken there by ambulance Thursday night according to DPS.
Troopers were sent to the scene on the northbound U.S. Highway 69 feeder road near Castie Rd just north of the Mitchell Rd exit at about around 7:30 p.m. according to a news release from DPS.
A Toyota Tundra pickup truck was headed north along the feeder road when it struck McDonald after he entered the roadway the release said.
Troopers are still investigating and no other information was released.
