39-year-old Orange woman dies in single-vehicle wreck late Friday night in Orange County

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by a Justice of the Peace.

ORANGE, Texas — A 39-year-old woman from Orange is dead following a single-car wreck late Friday night in Orange.

Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety investigated the wreck which happened at the intersection of Tulane and Harmon Rd. in Orange, late Friday night, according to a news release from DPS.

A preliminary investigation by troopers showed that just before 10:40 p.m. a Dodge Caravan, driven by Brandy Seelye, 39, of Orange., was headed west.

Seelye failed to negotiate the curve and drove the Caravan into the ditch where it struck a culvert and overturned, the release said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by an Orange County Justice of the Peace.
