BEAUMONT, Texas — Police in Beaumont are working to clear the scene of a major wreck involving six vehicles in the west end of the city.
At least six vehicles were involved in the wreck at the intersection of Dowlen Road and Gladys Avenue. The wreck happened at about 12:45 p.m, on Wednesday.
Police said there were no life-threatening injuries in the wreck which also resulted in a downed power line at the intersection.
A witness tells 12News that a pickup involved in the wreck sped past her at the light at Westgate and Dowlen and continued north at a high rate of speed toward the intersection of Dowlen and Gladys.
The truck then ran a red light at Dowlen and Gladys the witness said.
