JASPER COUNTY, Texas — Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are investigating a single-vehicle crash north of Kirbyville.
It happened at a home along FM 252 just south of County Road 509 Wednesday afternoon.
Preliminary investigation reveals that at around 1:40 p.m., a 2019 Nissan pulled into a private drive-way, according to a news release from The Texas Department of Public Safety.
The driver, identified as 70-year-old Johnny Jones of Kirbyville, exited the pickup to check the mail when the vehicle began to reverse and hit her.
Jones was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
This is an ongoing investigation and there is no additional information available.

It is reported that the driver exited the pickup to check the mail, and the vehicle began to reverse and struck the driver. The driver, identified as 70-tear-old Johnny Jones of Kirbyville, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
