BEAUMONT, Texas — A wreck involving an 18-wheeler and several other vehicles backed up traffic in Beaumont for several hours Thursday morning.
Beaumont Police officers and firefighters from Beaumont Fire/Rescue responded to the scene on westbound Interstate 10 just past College St. in front of Cowboy Harley-Davison of Beaumont at about 5 a.m. Thursday morning.

A hazmat spill had to be cleaned up after diesel fuel from the 18-wheeler spilled onto the roadway.
All lanes of the interstate were opened back up just after 8 a.m.
Traffic had been backed up past the U.S. Highway 69 and Interstate 10 split earlier in the morning.
