Beaumont ISD is proud to name Ramona Locke as the West Brook High School head girls basketball coach.
“I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and will do my best to have a program that the community can be proud of,” said Locke. “My focus is to build a program that has student-athletes who embrace the challenges of being great. We will be disciplined, yet aggressive, towards reaching our goal and will expect excellence on and off the court.”
Locke is a Lamar University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Arts and Sciences and holds a Texas K-12 Kinesiology Certification. Her coaching experience began at Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School in Beaumont, TX, where she was the head girls basketball, track and volleyball coach, campus athletic coordinator and physical education department head. She then moved on to Clifton J. Ozen Magnet High School in Beaumont, TX, where she was a physical education instructor, head boys cross country and junior varsity girls track coach and the varsity girls basketball assistant coach. Most recently, Locke served as a physical education instructor, head boys and girls tennis coach, junior varsity girls basketball and varsity girls assistant basketball coach at Andy Dekaney High School in Houston, TX.
