Woodville's Kesean Paire signs to play wheelchair basketball at UT Arlington

Woodville's Kesean Paire continues to prove that hard work pays off

WOODVILLE, Texas — Despite National Signing Day being in the rearview mirror, we continue to see some of our top local athletes sign their National Letters of Intent.

Tuesday morning tWoodville's Kesean Paire was joined by family, friends and coach for his much anticipated signing ceremony.

The State Champion track athlete is heading to UT Arlington where he'll play wheelchair basketball for the Movin' Mavs.

If you're unfamiliar with Paire, the guy does it all.

From winning state titles in track, to assisting with the football team, marching in the band and of course playing wheelchair basketball.

"For us it's a blessing. Just being able to get my whole college and everything paid for, you know it's awesome. Especially coming from Woodville, you know small town, moving to a city. It's different, it's a little scary, but I'm excited for it. Anybody out there that think that you can't do it, you know you can do it. Work hard for it. Just don't give up on your dream. If you put in the effort, put in the grit, you know you're going to come a long way. Like my coach tells us, you can't do one thing one night a week. You've got to be every day. Just work hard, work for what you want and then you're going to be successful."
