BEAUMONT, Texas — Coming off a solid Bi-District round, nine local teams hit the court in the Area playoffs looking for a spot in the Regional Quarterfinals.
Things got started Thursday night with last year's State Finalist Hardin-Jefferson taking care of business, crushing Carthage 78-40 in Lufkin.
Unfortunately Friday night was tougher on the 409 with only Kountze, Evadale and Brookeland moving on.
Best of luck to the Lady Hawks, Lionettes, Lady Rebels and Lady Wildcats in the Regional Quarterfinals.
