BEAUMONT, Texas — Week eight of the 2024 high school football season in Southeast Texas has Newton High School visiting Kountze High School.
This week we headed north of Beaumont for a battle between the top two teams in the district.
Newton dominated Kountze winning the week eight Game of the Week 46 - 7.
The Eagles had a shaky start going 1-3 over the first four games, but are a perfect 3-0 in district play as they head to Kountze.
The Lions were 2-0 in district play with a 4-1 overall record.
