BEAUMONT, Texas — Week eight of the 2024 high school football season in Southeast Texas has Newton High School visiting Kountze High School.
This week we head north of Beaumont for a battle between the top two teams in the district.
The Eagles had a shaky start going 1-3 over the first four games, but are a perfect 3-0 in district play as they head to Kountze.
The Lions are 2-0 in district play with a 4-1 overall record.
After Friday night there will be a stand alone team at the top of 3A District 12.
