PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Port Arthur Police were called after a woman was robbed by a suspect with a handgun on Gulfway Drive.
It happened around 6 p.m. Officers were called to HEB at 3401 Gulfway Drive about a robbery, and found a woman had her personal belongings taken by a 17-year-old.
He was caught and taken to Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
Police are investigating the incident.

On 7/8/2019 at approximately 6:02 pm, officers responded to 3401 Gulfway Drive in reference to a robbery. The 17 yoa m/b suspect approached a f/h victim and brandished a handgun.
The suspect took the personal belongings of the victim after brandishing the weapon and fled the scene. The m/b suspect was apprehended and transported to Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
This incident is under investigation by the Criminal Investigative Division of the Port Arthur Police Department
