A Tyler County man who called 911 and reported that he had killed his wife and shot himself in March has been arrested and charged with her murder.
Linscomb, 41, was arrested Monday afternoon at a Houston hospital where he was being treated and then taken to the Tyler County Justice Center where he was booked into jail.
Justice of the Peace Trisher Ford set his bond was set at $1.5 million.
Linscomb called 911 at 8:34 a.m. on March 14, 2016, to report the shooting and when deputies arrived at the couple's home on CR 3240 off FM 256 east of Colmesneil they found the front door open and the couple's infant granddaughter in the doorway area according to a release from the Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford.
Deputies searched the home and found Linscomb and his wife, Tonia Linscomb, 39, both with gunshot wounds.
Tonia Linscomb was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Trisher Ford. The baby was unharmed.
Linscomb was transported to by air ambulance to a Beaumont Hospital and later transferred to a Houston hospital.
Deputies recovered a 9mm handgun from the scene and Linscomb was subsequently charged with his wife's murder.
