NEDERLAND, Texas — Firefighters were sent to turn off a powerline in Nederland due to a transformer exploding.
Jefferson County Water District No. 10 Volunteer Fire Department sent firefighters to turn off a power line at 6:35 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the intersection of Spurlock Road and 31st Street in Nederland, according to a Facebook post.
"This happened just before the storm came in, unknown if wind was a factor. Fuse exploded when it was pulled by Entergy," the department said in the Facebook post.
