Cancer treatment is tough for kids, but dealing with hair loss on top of chemo can be overwhelming and isolating.
In an effort to make the baldness a little less jarring, Snoopy, Garfield and Hello Kitty are going bald, too. This is all a part of the Brazilian-based ‘Bald Cartoons' campaign, which was so successful it even got tweeted by Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.
One child summed up the purpose of the project perfectly: "I thought that if I took my hat off at school people would laugh, but now I don't feel that anymore."
It doesn't make cancer treatment a walk in the park for the little guys, but hopefully it will make their lives feel a little more normal.
