Sempra Energy is revisiting plans to build a facility on its property in Port Arthur.
We're told the liquefied natural gas facility could create about 3,000 construction jobs.
Sempra put the project on hold in 2008 because prices had gone down.
But several sources have confirmed to 12News that in recent weeks Sempra officials have been in talks with local leaders to proceed with a project at the foot of the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge at Highway 87.
No groundbreaking date has been set, but the permitting process should be complete by the spring.
