A Port Arthur police officer is on paid administrative following his arrest in Beaumont Friday night.
Officer George Clark was released from the Jefferson County jail after posting a $1,500 bond on a charge of family violence.
Port Arthur Police Chief Mark Blanton said he could not confirm if the officer has previous incident reports related to family violence. Chief Blanton said Clark has been with the PAPD between 8 to 10 years.
The Beaumont Police Department is investigating the incident and will release more details when they become available.
