The Port Arthur city council has narrowed its list to two finalists for the city manager's job.

Mayor Deloris Prince tells us those finalists are Natasha Henderson and Brian McDougal.

Henderson has been the city manager of Muskegon Heights, Michigan since 2008.

McDougal has been the city manager for the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma since 2009.

The mayor says in about two weeks the council will meet again to take the next step in the hiring process.

The city council fired Floyd Johnson as city manager back in January stating it was unhappy with the city's progress under Johnson.

Assistant City Manager John Comeaux has been acting as the interim replacement, but has said he is ready to retire.
