Having your identification will be critical when you go to vote at any of the locations.

Jefferson County Clerk Roxanne Acosta-Hellberg says it's important to do your research ahead of time in order to help the voting process go smoothly.

Last minutes preparations are being put into place for voters across the county and poll workings are receiving extensive trainings to make sure tomorrow goes smoothly.

"Our poll workers are ready, they take a lot of time to prepare for these elections. And so we definitely want to start having the community confident and comfortable with what we are doing," Acosta-Hellberg said.

With hot button issues, from teachers' retirement to homestead exemptions, there's a lot of state and local props bringing voters to the polls.

"Very important, I know I am seeing a spike in usual in the age range 55 plus. You have a good turnout on the 44 but anything under that is sparse," said Acosta-Hellberg.

On Tuesday, thousands of voters in Jefferson County will make their way to the the 39 different polling locations. But there is one change this year.

"Be mindful that Bevil Oaks is not apart of it, we have updated notices at the locations, so people are informed," Acosta-Hellberg told 12News.

She is hoping for a good election day turnout.

"We are really excited about the initial numbers, we met my goal. My personal goal of over 10,000, we superseded that. We are looking forward to having 15 tomorrow. Bring me 15," said Acosta-Hellberg.
