Judy Nichols, chair of the Jefferson County Republican Party, is optimistic about this election's outcome.

"We're pretty mobilized and energized by the fact that the Democrats have at the top of their ticket somebody who seems to be in the pocket of China, and at the bottom of the ticket a sheriff under felony indictment," Nichols said.

Joseph Trahan, chair of the Jefferson County Democratic Party, feels hopeful that Texas will turn blue.

"It's a matter of not if but when the state of Texas will flip and we are very hopeful that with all the funds and activity that's being focused here in the state of Texas that we will be able to see a flip victory for Democrats," Trahan said.

More than 93 million people have already voted in the 2020 election, shattering early voting records.

Tuesday, November 3 will be the last opportunity to vote.
