ANAHUAC, Texas — Early voting runs through Nov. 1 in Texas for the Nov. 5 election. Those eligible to vote in Chambers and Liberty Counties will have two weeks ahead of Election Day to cast their ballot at locations in Chambers and Liberty County.
This year, the country will decide if Vice President Kamala Harris will be getting a promotion to the top job or if former President Donald Trump will return to the Resolute Desk.
Voters will also have a chance to weigh in on several other national, state and local races on the ballot this year. Here in Texas, polling in a closely-watched race for U.S. Senate shows Sen. Ted Cruz (R) and Congressman Colin Allred (D) are neck and neck. In both Chambers and Liberty County voters will be voting for U.S. House District 36 while Chambers County will also vote for U.S. House District 14. When it comes to local races in Liberty County, there are no contested races in the part of the county we cover. In Chambers County voters in the East Chambers school district will be choosing a school board trustee.
