Suspect still on the run after man shot in stomach in east Orange

The shooting happened around 10:00 p.m. Saturday on 6th Street and Rein Avenue. A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition

ORANGE, Texas — Orange Police are searching for a suspect who shot a man in the stomach. 

The shooting happened around 10:00 p.m. Saturday on 6th Street and Rein Avenue. The 24-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Christus St. Elizabeth's Hospital in critical condition.

He was shot twice, Orange Police said in a news release. 

Orange Police is still investigating the cause of the shooting.

From the Orange Police Department...

On 03-23-2019 at 10:07 pm, a call was received by the Orange Police Department in regards to a gunshot victim at 6th and Rein St. Upon the arrival of officers at 10:08 pm, a 24 year old black male resident of Orange was found to be suffering from two gunshot wounds. The Orange Fire Department and Acadian Ambulance responded to the scene. Acadian Ambulance transported the victim to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where his condition is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing by the Detective Division of the Orange Police Department.
