'General Hospital' actress Robyn Bernard found dead in California

Bernard played musician Terry Brock on the popular drama show for 145 episodes over six years before leaving 'General Hospital' in 1990.

WASHINGTON — Former "General Hospital" star Robyn Bernard has died, according to multiple media reports. She was 64. 

Bernard played musician Terry Brock on the popular drama show for 145 episodes over six years before leaving General Hospital in 1990. 

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, Bernard was found dead in an "open field behind a business" in San Jacinto, California. Her body was discovered early Tuesday morning, according to a press release put out by the sheriff's office. 

TMZ reported that the county coroner confirmed they identified the former actress by using fingerprints. 

A cause of death was not immediately released, but the Riverside County Sheriff's Office release did not indicate any injuries on her body. TMZ reports that an autopsy will be conducted. 

Bernard was born in Gladewater Texas in 1959. She began her career as a child singer with her sister Crystal Bernard, who would go on to star in the TV series “Wings.”

Robyn Bernard then moved to acting, starting with small parts in 80s television dramas such as "Diva" and "The Facts of Life." 

But her most influential role was her 1984 debut as Terry Brock, a musician who rolled into town and became embroiled in the lives of the cast. After six seasons, Brock's character was written off she show in 1990 when she got a record contract and left town. 

According to IMDB, Bernard's final credited acting role was in 2002, when she played a psychologist in the movie "Voices From the High School."

PageSix reports that Bernard is survived by her father, Jerry Wayne Bernard, and two sisters, Crystal and Scarlett Bernard.
