Beaumont ISD's police department was increasing patrols at Odom Academy after a bomb threat was made earlier this week, district officials confirmed to 12News.
District officials said a note was found on-campus claiming a bomb was in the building. The school was evacuated and placed on a brief lockdown while police searched the campus.
No device was ever found.
Parents were notified via Blackboard.
Additional patrols were expected for the remainder of the week.
