BEAUMONT, Texas — The Silsbee Public Library is drying out after flood waters seeped into the building Monday morning.
The library's kid section saw several inches of water, but luckily all the books are still intact.
However, the library lost toys, they had to rip out the carpet and several walls need sheet rock repairs.
Now staff is working in overdrive to get the facility ready for their upcoming summer reading program.
The Vice president of Friends of the Silsbee Public Library Mehgan Drake tells 12News that over 2,000 kids joined the program last year.

Now they need community donations to get the library ready for the summer.
"We need prizes, and we need supplies, and we need climate controlled facilities for our summer reading program. So if anybody wants to get involved in anyway and donate to help us, we would gladly accept it," Drake said.
If you would like to help the library, you can donate here.
Registration for the library's summer reading program begins on Monday. Children aged 4 to 15 can join.
