Water to be shut off for several hours Tuesday for some south Lumberton residents

Residents in the area should study the map released by the utility district to determine if they will be affected.

LUMBERTON, Texas — Some Lumberton Municipal Utility District water customers in the south end of Lumberton will experience a water outage for several hours Tuesday morning as maintenance is performed.

Starting at about 8 a.m. Tuesday the water will be cut off to customers in an area along U.S. Highway 69 on the south side of Lumberton according to a Facebook post by the utility district at about 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Residents in the area should study the map released by the utility district to determine if they will be affected.

Water will be cut off to customers in the highlighted areas starting at 8 a.m. for about four hours, according to the utility district.

Crews will be installing isolation valves in several locations while the water is cut off the utility district reported.

The utility district will try to keep the water off for as short a time as possible, according to the post.
