The internet is breathing new life into a troubling post about the alleged death of a Jefferson County morgue worker.
Earlier this year, the web site World News Daily Report posted an article saying that a Beaumont morgue worker was inadvertently incinerated by a coworker as he napped on the job.
According to the report, 48-year old Henri Paul Johnson decided to take a nap on a stretcher after working for sixteen hours straight.
While he was sleeping, another employee mistook him for the corpse of a 52-year old car accident victim and carried him to the crematory.Before anyone could notice the mistake, he had already been exposed to temperatures ranging between 1400 to 1800 degrees fahrenheit and reduced to ashes.
To verify the authenticity of the report, 12News contacted the Jefferson County morgue and they say they do not currently, and have never, had an employee by the name of Henri Paul Johnson.We also contacted Deputy Marcus McLellan with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and he tells us the report is fake news. Deputy McLellan says, there is no crematorium at that facility.
12News also conducted a reverse image search and found several articles about the man in the picture and it turns out that's the mugshot for Christopher Plumlee, a Mississippi constable arrested in 2015 for dui and speeding.So, there you have it, the report is false and we can finally lay this post to rest, once and for all.
