LUMBERTON, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation has installed new speed limit signs in Lumberton showing the reduced speed limit.
Last month, the Lumberton City Council amended an ordinance to reduce the speed limit on US 96 between Village Creek and the West Walton/Bellmont Drive intersection from 65 mph to 55 mph.
On Monday, TxDOT crews installed the new signs which show the new reduced speed limit.
