TYLER COUNTY, Texas — Two people were arrested and taken to jail after police found items related to explosive devices and drugs inside their Tyler County home.
Police conducted traffic stops on Brandon Colotta and Jennifer Lamb Colotta as they were leaving the residence.
On August 8, Special Agents with Texas DPS-Criminal Investigations Division- Beaumont, along with District Attorney Investigator Donald Calhoon, Tyler County Sheriff's Office, Texas Highway Patrol Troopers, and ATF Special Agents, executed a residential search warrant in the 300 block of County Road 4880 in Fred, Texas.
When police detained Brandon and Jennifer, they cleared the residence and located nearly 30 pounds of suspected marijuana, 147 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, and 2,379 grams of various suspected THC edibles, oils, and wax items.
Police also located an UZI style handgun which ATF says could potentially be fully automatic along with another handgun that had been reported missing.
Police also discovered items related to explosive devices including threaded pipe and gun powder inside the residence.
An enclosed 18-wheeler style trailer was discovered that appeared to be converted into a lab, according to a press release from Tyler County.
Several trash bags were located on the property which were filled with prescription pills.
Brandon and Jennifer were transported to the Tyler County Jail where they were booked in for multiple felony charges.
